Adopt-a-Road plans finalized
Adopt-a-Road is a Clark County program that allows individuals or organizations to assume responsibility for keeping a section of roadway clean. On behalf of Amberglen Good Works, Chuck Polacek submitted an application to be included in the program. The application was accepted, and AGW has been assigned to patrol sections of roadways surrounding Amberglen three times a year.
The litter collection route for which we are responsible is shown in the map below. It has been divided into three parts, corresponding to a Yellow Team, a Green Team, and a Red Team.
Our first Adopt-a-Road work day is scheduled for August 27. A call for volunteers was made, and twenty Amberglen residents volunteered to help. They’ve been assigned to teams, as shown in the table below:
If you are one of our volunteers, please view the Clark County Adopt-a-Road introduction video and the Adopt-a-Road training video. Each team will meet at the designated time and location for a short training review, to sign waiver forms, and then to begin trash collection.
