2022 Holiday Gathering
On the evening of December 2nd, thirty-four residents of Amberglen, representing almost a third of the homes in the neighborhood, joined together at the Salmon Creek Grange for the first annual Amberglen Holiday Gathering.
The event was conceived as a canned food drive for the Clark County Food Bank, and in the spirit of holiday giving, the party-goers contributed over 239 pounds of canned goods and other items. Amberglen residents, including those who could not attend the gathering, also donated $170 in cash to the CCFB.
Volunteers from Amberglen Good Works organized, sponsored, and hosted the event.
Activities included: A review of the year’s good works by M.C. Chuckles (AGW steering committee chairman, Chuck Polacek); team games that were designed to reward cooperation among neighbors, conducted by steering committee members Ron (“Buzz”) and Deb Rowe; presentation of the AGW Volunteer of the Year award to Sue Nelson; and finally, a drawing for four door prizes.
The food was one of the highlights of the party, and the ample small plates, desserts, and beverages were provided by Amberglen resident Sandra Perro and her catering business, Sandra’s Goodies. We are all grateful to Sandra for her generosity.
Thanks to all who attended this event and made it such a memorable evening!
