Project Completed: Neighborhood Garage Sale
Twenty Amberglen households participated in the first annual neighborhood garage sale, held on June 10th and 11th. Amberglen Good Works provided the advertising, including social media postings and signs on the streets around our neighborhood. AGW secretary Karen Williams provided most of the organizational expertise, having been involved in other neighborhood garage sales in the past.
The event appeared to be a great success, with estimated sales in excess of $4,000. Most households donated the suggested 10% of their earnings to Amberglen Good Works – funds which will be used for future good works projects.
