Project Update: Native Plantings

Over a dozen Amberglen residents came together last year to beautify what had been characterized as the ”big, ugly dirt patch” at the intersection of NE 67th Avenue and NE 114th Street. Led by Tiffany and Dave Kullgren, the neighbors planted two dozen native specimens and spread handfuls of wildflower seeds.

One year later, the Native Plantings Project continues to grow strong, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the Kullgrens. We ran across them on the 21st of October—slightly a year after the original plantings took place—introducing more plants into the same area.

As we did last year, we look forward to spring to see how the flora adapt to their new home.
