What is Amberglen Good Works?

Amberglen Good Works (AGW) is a loose affiliation of neighbors in the Amberglen subdivision of Vancouver, Washington. Our members are dedicated to performing good works that benefit the residents of Amberglen, as well as the greater Clark County community.

We came together in December, 2021, to support a project proposed by Chuck Polacek, our founding member, which offered our appreciation as a community to the tireless critical care workers in the emergency room of our local hospital, Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center.

In March, 2022, we formalized our commitment and created a steering committee to develop future good works projects.

We are an independent organization, and are not affiliated with any other Amberglen organization.

Our organization

All residents of our neighborhood are automatically members of Amberglen Good Works and are welcome to participate to the extent of their interest. Our organization is ad hoc, and residents participate in only those projects they are interested in. Nobody is obligated to participate in any way.

We are guided by a steering committee that consists of residents who volunteer their time and effort to developing projects and providing leadership to our organization. The committee convenes once a month at a meeting and social hour that is open to everybody in our neighborhood. There is no limit to the size of our steering committee and we welcome all residents to join us. If you’re interested, attend one of our steering committee meetings and let us know.
